Your stuff,
your computer
Bloud is a simple way to run your own cloud at home. Photos, files, movies, passwords. All on a computer you own, not rented from Google or Apple. Plug in a USB drive, turn it on, and you're done.
Why run your own home server?
Right now, your photos, files, and passwords live on computers owned by big tech companies. You're paying rent to access your own stuff. A home server puts everything on a computer you own. No monthly fees. No terms of service. No one else with access to your data.
The problem? Setting one up has always required technical expertise. Installing software through command lines, configuring networks, making different programs work together. It's a part-time job. We're building Bloud because we wanted all the benefits without the headache.
How it works
Plug In & Turn On
Download Bloud, copy it to a USB drive, plug it into any computer, and power on. That's the whole setup. No coding, no command line, no IT background needed.
Add What You Need
Photo backup, file storage, media streaming, password management. Browse what's available and install with a click. Everything shares one login and works together.
Grows With You
Start with an old laptop. When you need more space or power, just add another machine. Bloud makes them work together automatically.
Everything works together
The annoying thing about running your own server is making everything work together. With Bloud, it already does. Your photos are automatically backed up to your storage. Your media library finds your movies. One login for everything. We handle the wiring so you don't have to.
What makes it different
It's yours
The code is open source. There's no account to create, no data we collect. Everything runs on your hardware at home.
No VC money
This is a passion project, not a startup. No investors pushing us to grow fast or monetize your attention. We're building it because we want to use it.
Hard to break
Updates can't mess up your system. If something ever goes wrong, Bloud automatically rolls back to the last working state. No debugging, no lost weekends.
Grows with you
Start with one old laptop. If you outgrow it, just add another computer. They'll work together automatically. No complicated migration.
Want to try it?
Bloud is still early. If you want to help test it and don't mind some rough edges, leave your email. We'd love to hear what you think.
